Slalom Boat Pricing
The boats are all built with top of the line epoxy resin, carbon fiber, foam core and kevlar. The epoxy is introduced using epoxy infusion, a method that uses vacuum to remove all the air before adding resin. This provides a very light laminate, but also one that is reliable, so every boat is within several hundred grams of its target weight.
Three layups are currently available and are priced the same for both C1 and K1:
Competition Elite – $1800CAN
Very stiff, very light.
Combination of carbon fiber, foam core and carbon/kevlar mix. Unidirectional carbon used to provide stiffness in key areas. Extra layer in hull available (add $100).
Weight: C1 8.5kg, K1 7.5kg
Competition – $1700CAN
Stiff, light.
Same as the elite, but with less carbon and more kevlar. Slightly less stiff, one extra layer in the hull for durability.
Weight: C1 9.5kg, K1 7.5kg
Training – Spring 2009
A s-glass, kevlar, foam core layup. Still under development. The goal is to provide a more affordable boat for recreational and development purposes that doesn’t have the sloppy hulls of current models by other companies.
Weight: C1 10.5kg, K1 9.5kg
